PULAU UBIN ACTIVITIES : KAYAK SINGAPORE
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and experience the laid back rustic life on Pulau Ubin, a small island just off the northeastern coast of Singapore. Kayak through the mangroves and get in touch with nature as your guide teaches you about the animals and plants in this tranquil water based ecosystem.
Mangrove kayaking expeditions are run by our partner Asian Detours, an experiential learning specialist.
If you book onto our Singapore kayaking adventure you will join a mixed group of other guests. We take a maximum of 10 people per instructor on our Pulau Ubin kayaking expeditions. If you would like a private excursion please contact us for a quote and to confirm availability.
Pulau Ubin Mangrove kayaking adventures run 7-days per week, depending on the tide levels. Our booking calendar is up to date so if the date is not available to book it means that the tide level will not be suitable on that day and you should choose another date.
Pulau Ubin translates to ‘Granite Island’ and it sits just a short 10 minute bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal on the northeastern side of Singapore. Decommissioned granite quarries provide a scenic backdrop to lush green countryside and wetlands. Formally home to a few thousand people in the 1960s Pulau Ubin now has a population of only one hundred making Pulau Ubin the last real ‘kampung’ (‘village’ in Malay).
This mangrove kayak Singapore adventure will give you a personal encounter with this idyllic destination which remains unknown to many.
Your kayak Singapore adventure will begin with a short length of open sea kayaking, past floating fish farms, before you enter the mangroves. Once inside you can relax as you float through the calm waters soaking up the sights and sounds of the diverse animal and fauna species which ranges from Monkeys to Lizards, Mudskippers, Kingfishers, Herons and Egrets.
IMPORTANT: You must be comfortable getting into the water to take part in this kayak Singapore activity. You WILL get wet. For safety a mandatory floatation test will be conducted before kayaking. Covered shoes are mandatory. You will not be allowed to kayak barefoot.

Things To Do In Singapore | Discover Pulau Ubin Pulau Ubin is an island off the eastern shores of Singapore. If you wonder about Singapore trips, you should try and add this to your list of things to do in Singapore as a contrast to the city life! It may not have white sandy beaches like other places in Singapore but the charm of this beautiful place will recharge your soul and you will notice that the air is fresher, the food tastes better and that nature can be soaked up.
