When you are on your Singapore tours, don't forget to visit the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, which first began as the Town Hall in 1862. Originally housing a theatre on the ground floor the building had meeting rooms and offices of various government agencies on the second floor. It also was home for the Singapore Library from 1862 to 1876. When in 1901 Queen Victoria had passed away, it was decided that a public hall would be built in memory of her.If you are looking for Singapore activities after your private tours Singapore, book your tickets for the Singapore Symphony Orchestra! #design #instagood #photooftheday #singapore #sg #lonelyplanet #hellosingaporetours #ilovesg #hellosg #streetsofsingapore #wanderlust #buildings #sglife #wanderlust #discoversingapore #discoversg #visitsingapore #singaporesymphonyorchestra #victoriatheathre #victoriaconcerthall #privatetour #privateguide #personalguide #personaltour #grouptour #historicalbuilding #livinghistory
The Fullerton Hotel was commissioned in 1919 as part of the celebrations for 100 years as a British colony. It was finished in 1928 and originally housed the General Post Office, top government offices and The Singapore Club which was an old boys club. When entering the post office at that time the counter was 300 feet long! We believe it was the longest in the world at that time. Although the central atrium is the same as it used to look like back in the days, today, on your Singapore day tours that the building has been remodelled. At the time of the post office, it was THE club for things to do in Singapore. If you have booked your Singapore tour, don't forget to take a photo of this building as it looks beautiful when the lights are on during a Singapore night tour! #design #instagood #photooftheday #singapore #sg #lonelyplanet #hellosingaporetours #ilovesg #hellosg #streetsofsingapore #wanderlust #buildings #sglife #wanderlust #discoversingapore #discoversg #visitsingapore #singaporeatnight #singaporelights #singaporebuildings #historicalbuilding #thefullertonhotel #thefullerton #nightshot #nightphotography #singaporeatnight #nighttourofsingapore #nighttours #grouptour #privatetour

Singapore Tours | Let's Talk Singlish!
Singapore English derives its roots from 146 years (1819–1965) of British colonial rule over Singapore. Prior to 1967 the standard form of English in Singapore had always been British English and Received Pronunciation. After Singapore declared independence in 1965, English in Singapore began to take a life of its own, leading to the development of modern-day Standard Singapore English. At the same time, Singlish evolved among the working classes who learned English without formal schooling. The vocabulary of Singlish consists of words originating from English, Malay, Hokkien, Teochew, Cantonese, Tamil and to a lesser extent various other European, Indic and Sinitic languages. Also, elements of American and Australian slang have come through from imported television series and films. On your Singapore activities, you will hear a lot of this fun language. Just go on private tours Singapore and soak in the Singlish!#singaporean #welovesingapore #exploresingapore #meetthelocals #instagood #photooftheday #sg #tourism #travelbug #natgeotravelpic #lonelyplanet #hellosingaporetours #ilovesg #hellosg #streetsofsingapore #singaporetour #visitsingapore #singlish #privatetours #personaltours #tourguide #privateguide #personalguide #singlishlah #soshiokphoto credit: quora
Pandan recently got named one of the world's 17 best cakes by the travel website of United States news outlet CNN! It was about time that our humble yet heavenly delicious cake gets the attention it deserves (obsessed with pandan cake much? Yes, sir!). When you ever come for a Singapore city tour, do not miss out on this festival for your tastebuds!Describing the cake as "essentially a chiffon cake" infused with green-coloured juice from the pandanus palm, CNN's April 2 article says: "The radioactive hue of this cake belies its natural woodsy flavour. When married to fluffy- yet-moist chiffon cake, it's a revelation." Ask you Singapore food guide about his favourite pandan bakery and don't miss out to buy some after your Singapore food tours!#getinmybelly #goodeats #travel #traveloften #wanderlust #discoversingapore #love #food #foodporn #instagood #instafood #eatsingapore #foodie #foodadventure #sg #tourism #travelbug #hellosingaporetours #sgfoodie #visitsingapore #foodtour #privatetour #personaltour #grouptour #tourguide #obsession #pandan #chiffoncake #pandancake #foodtours #foodguide #guidedtours photo credit: straits times

When you book a Singapore city tour with us, we try to show you every aspect of life in Singapore. The things we talk about on Singapore tours range from history, culture, housing, religion, politics and present day happenings in the lives of Singaporeans. One of these things is the "Clean Plate Campaign". Singapore generated more than 800,000 tonnes of food waste last year. To raise awareness of the environmental and societal impact of food waste, volunteers from the Clean Plate Campaign were visiting a hawker centre. Guess which Singapore food guide was at the very same food court at that time? Our very own Hello Singapore Tours guide Janice! She was on a public Singapore food tour with our guests, when volunteers came to her table and journalists took pictures! The next day we had made it to the news! How super exciting.
