1. Macritchie Reservoir Park
Macritchie Reservoir Park is well-known for its many hiking trails but the main highlight that steals the show is its Treetop Walk. For the uninitiated, the Treetop Walk is a suspension bridge that hangs along the treetop canopy and guests can walk to and fro freely on it to admire the scenic views. You might even have the opportunity to spot a few critters here and there, like a monkey or a squirrel perhaps. However, be prepared to come earlier than usual as it can get pretty crowded during peak hours which. The entire hiking trail takes about seven to ten kilometres to complete, so be prepared for a long hike.

2. Pulau Ubin
At just a 10 minute bumboat ride away from the mainland. This island is chock-full of old village charm with its idyllic setting that is reminiscent of 1960s Singapore. If you ever want to experience what it is like living in a village back then. Then this is the place for you. One of the must-see places to visit when you arrive on this island is to make a beeline for a little place called Teck Seng’s place.
For the uninitiated, Teck Seng’s place was a provision shop that used to operate on the island back in the 1970s and has now been converted to a museum for guests to learn more about the village life in Singapore back in the good old days. Besides that, another popular activity on the island that travellers love to participate in is exploring the island by bicycle. There is a bicycle rental service there as well so you do not have to lug a bicycle around with you.

3. Punggol Waterway Park
Make your way to Punggol Waterway Park for a half-day trip for some sightseeing adventure. This tourist spot is a well-known location for bird watchers who come here to admire the many species of birds that Singapore has to offer. Be on the lookout for kingfishers, herons, hawks, or even the odd monitor lizard or two. This site is also a great place to enjoy the scenic trails by bicycle too. Additionally, you do not need to bring a bicycle with you as there is a bicycle rental service there to accommodate your needs. While you are visiting Punggol Waterway, be sure to stop over at Coney Island to admire the lush greenery that this place has to offer as this tourist site is situated in the vicinity of the Punggol Waterway. Coney Island is famous for its wide variety of flora and fauna, so this place is perfect for nature lovers out there. Here, you can take a long hike along the trail or even rent a bicycle if you are feeling tired. Be sure to check out the various species of native plants and wildlife as some of them are regarded as rare species.
