When Singapore Surrendered
This private tour takes and insiders look at the darkest chapter in Singapore’s history. This is a very moving tour which has been created by our in-house team of WWII experts.
If you take this tour on Saturday or Sunday the following locations are covered: Woodlands Waterfront where the bombing of the Causeway took place, Kranji beach battle site, the Japanese landing site at Lim Chu Kong Jetty, the Former Ford Factory where the British Forces surrendered to Lieutenant-General Yamashita Tomoyuki and the former Labrador Artillery Battery at Labrador Park. We will also pass by Alexandra Hospital; a massacre site, and Gillman Barracks. Lunch will be at Colbar, a former military canteen.
If you take this tour between Monday and Friday there will be a slightly different routing taking out the Kranji beach battle site and jetty and adding in Kranji Cemetery and War Memorial which honors the men and women who died in the line of duty during WWII.
