National Gallery Singapore is a visual arts institution. It has the largest public collection of modern art in Southeast Asia. Situated in the heart of the Civic District, the Gallery is made of two buildings. The former City Hall was completed in 1929 and the former Supreme Court was completed 10 years later. Both buildings have been beautifully restored and transformed into this exciting venue. In the National Gallery, you will find over 8,000 artworks that will show you the history of Singapore and the region starting from the 19th-century to today. Many on public view for the first time, this comprehensive display includes loans from major museums, private institutions and collectors.
